The country’s main lender, SBI, thanks to its transparent service, has now simplified the process of blocking the lost debit card and the reissue of the same. In its recent tweet on its official Twitter account, the bank posted a tweet indicating how SBI debits the card can be blocked via IVR.
How to block SBI debit card via IVR by phone call?
The tweet says bank customers can dial the number. Simply call 1800 112 211 or 1800 425 3800 from your registered number linked to your SBI account.

– At this point, you must enter the number ‘0’ to block your card.
– To continue the process, you now have the option of pressing ‘1’ or ‘2’,
1. This is to block the SBI debit card via the registered mobile phone number and card number.
2. To block the card using the registered mobile phone number and account number.
And this is done by entering the last 5 digits of the account number and then confirming by entering 1 digit again.
If you select the number ‘1’ -You must enter the last 5 digits of the card then press 1 to confirm and as the last step enter 2 to re-enter the last 5 digits of the SBI card.
Your debit card will be blocked and the same will be confirmed by SMS.
Then, if you want to request a replacement card, enter 1 to request the replacement card. Here you can click on the number ‘7’ to return to the previous menu and press 8 for the main menu.
If you make a card replacement request and press 1: Here is the procedure?
You must first enter your year of birth. The card will be sent to your registered address and a card replacement fee will apply. Press 1 to confirm or to cancel, you must enter ‘2’.
Now if you press 1 Your card replacement request is successfully placed with the bank and a confirmation is sent to your registered cell phone number.
Likewise, there is a procedure if you wish to perform the procedure of blocking your debit card using your bank details.
