Calling all Disneyland Resort fans! The Downtown Disney District is expanding its magical offering. This Disneyland Resort shopping, dining and entertainment district will soon welcome two new retailers.
If you’re a Disneyland and Disney California Adventure fan, but looking for a place to visit that doesn’t require theme park admission, then Downtown Disney is the destination for you.
Downtown Disney – AKA the Downtown Disney District – is the shopping, dining, and entertainment district of the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California. It is located next to the two theme parks (Disneyland and California Adventure), the Disneyland Esplanade (the area between the parks) and the three on-site hotels (Disneyland Hotel, Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel and Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa Parking at Downtown Disney is super easy – you can park at the Simba Parking Lot for $ 10, and you can get 3-5 hours of validated parking with a qualifying purchase at Downtown Disney.
The Disney Parks Blog just announced that two unique specialty retailers currently located in Disney Springs at Walt Disney World Resort – Lovepop and Pele Soccer – will soon be opening stores in the Downtown Disney District of Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California.
With Disneyland Resort bringing back a reimagined version of the annual pass holder program – now called the Magic Key Pass program – and with new magic key holders (formerly known as pass holders) visiting more and more the complex, these new retailers will surely be welcome in addition to the District.
Many fans have been waiting for Disney to bring more shopping and dining options to Downtown Disney since many closed a few years ago, so it’s clear the company wants to continue to breathe new life into this area of the resort. – they even just hosted a live event this month!
