The Philippines is bracing for a weather rollercoaster! 🌩️🌦️
A former tropical depression, now a low-pressure area (LPA), is set to bring dramatic changes to the skies. But that's not all; the Northeast Monsoon, locally known as Amihan, is joining the party, too!
According to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), the LPA will bring cloudy skies and scattered thunderstorms to Western Visayas and MIMAROPA regions. Imagine dark clouds rolling in, bringing much-needed rain to these areas. And here's where it gets interesting: as of 4 p.m., this weather system was hovering over the coastal waters of Milagros, Masbate, within the Philippine Area of Responsibility.
But wait, there's more! Amihan will also make its presence known, bringing cloudy skies and rains to the Cordillera Administrative Region, Central Luzon, and Cagayan Valley. It's like having two weather influencers battling it out for dominance. And the impact doesn't stop there; the Ilocos Region will experience partly cloudy skies with light rains, adding a touch of variety to the weather forecast.
The forecast doesn't hold back; the shear line will bring its own brand of weather drama with cloudy skies, scattered rains, and isolated thunderstorms over Metro Manila and several other regions. Talk about a stormy situation! 🌧️
On the other side of the country, localized thunderstorms might bring some excitement to the rest of Visayas and Mindanao, with partly cloudy skies and isolated rain showers.
And this is the part most people miss—the temperature game! Baguio City claimed the title for the lowest temperature of the day, a chilly 13.6°C. Brrr! Casiguran, Aurora, and Tanay, Rizal followed suit with their own cool temperatures.
