GAS PRICES REMAIN VOLATILE IN INDIANA COUNTY
As we approach the weekend, the ongoing fluctuations in gas prices are making headlines in Indiana County.
This morning, the average price for a gallon of gasoline in Indiana County stands at $3.08, as reported by Triple-A. This figure is slightly higher than the statewide average by five cents and a quarter more than the national average. Interestingly, within the local region, Indiana County boasts one of the more affordable averages. The neighboring Jefferson County has an even lower average price at $3.03 per gallon, while Clearfield and Armstrong counties hold the distinction of the highest prices in the vicinity, reaching $3.17.
In recent days, many gas stations have witnessed a rise in prices, with numerous Sheetz locations now charging $3.19 per gallon. However, some stations are still offering lower prices; for instance, Kwik Fill in Homer City lists gas at $3.09 a gallon, and Accent Fuels in Brush Valley and Coral-Graceton is providing an even cheaper rate of $2.84.
