3 people arrested for operating an illegal Aadhaar card center | News from Noida


Ghaziabad: An Aadhaar card racket was dismantled with the arrest of its three members on Wednesday. In addition to the Aadhar cards, the defendants also made fake labor cards.
Police said the defendants were operating from a store in the Loni border area. False stamps, affidavits and biometric systems were recovered from their possession.
According to police, the defendants have been identified as Asif (34), Khalid (23) and Javed (36). Meanwhile, Javed’s brother-in-law Shehzad flees.
Iraj Raja, SP (rural), said police were told that a gang was deceiving people by forging fake Aadhaar and fake job cards. “We raided the store and arrested the accused,” he added.
A senior police officer said the accused charged Rs 1,500 for making a fake Aadhaar card, while Rs 1,500-2,000 for a fake labor card.
“During questioning, the accused told the police that Shehzad had real ID to make an Aadhaar card and he gave this ID to Javed. Shehzad had also given his high-resolution retina screen technology to Javed to open the portal, ”the SP said.
The seized kit includes laptops, a fingerprint scanner, an eye scanner, five rubber stamps, completed forms for Aadhaar, and job cards. Laptops had an Aadhaar map app installed. Police also seized Rs 19,500 from their possession.
The arrested defendants were detained under Articles 420 (cheating), 467 (forgery), 468 (forgery for cheating) and 471 (use as authentic of a false document) of the IPC. They were sent to police custody after presenting them to the magistrate.
