Club Dues Dues

Guests are welcome to attend up to two General Meetings without paying dues. But for just $30.00 per year, you can become a member and enjoy all the benefits including our monthly information-packed newsletter, and free access to our Technical Assistance Help Line. You are also eligible to attend SIGs (special interest groups) sponsored by the TOPCC, including both the Photo Group and Video Group meetings.

Guests may attend the Photo Group and/or Video Group meetings, however there is a $3.00 charge if you are not a TOPCC member.

Applications are available at any of the meetings and you can become a member at the meeting. Or, print out the Membership Application and send it to our Treasurer, Chuck Johnson. When you've finished viewing the Membership Application, click the "Back" button on your toolbar to get back to this page.

Household Membership: We now offer a household membership for $40. If a spouse, family member, or other member of your household would also like to attend the meetings, an extra $10 per year covers them.

Attention Members:

Please check the mailing label on your newsletter for your dues renewal date. Please send your renewal checks directly to:

You may also give him checks at our meetings.

Why should I pay dues?

A guest once asked "why should I pay dues when I can come to the meetings for free and the newsletter is on the web site?"

We don't mind if you are a guest for one or two meetings, but if you find this club useful we would like you to become a member. The club wouldn't exist if we didn't have members.

What do your dues pay for? Well, the most obvious is the newsletter that we mail to all our members. Yes, the newsletter is on the web site, but if you have a dial-up connection it may take a while to download. I find it convenient to have a hard-copy that I can read while having breakfast.

Your dues also pay for the meetings. It's true that most of the vendors will give their presentation for free, but there are other costs involved in putting on the meetings such as insurance. We also pay for web site space and our domain name (topcc.org). We print handouts, business cards, membership cards, and brochures.

Your dues also helped us purchase our own LCD projector and club computer for demonstrations. Part of the club computer was donations, and many people made extra donations for the LCD projector.

If you are a member, you will get a newsletter mailed to you each month. You will also be eligible to participate in special raffles we have now and then. Since we are a non-profit organization, your dues are tax deductible.

Anything you donate to the TOPCC (such as computer components) is also tax deductible. If you wish to make a donation, please type up a description of the item you are donating so that the Treasurer can give you a proper receipt.
