Last month, we were unfortunate and missed our prime presentation by Dr. Sexton.  Dr. Sexton apologized and promised to make up for missing his appointment.

U.A. Garred Sexton, M.D. will be our presenter for the April 22nd TOPCC meeting. Dr Sexton Graduated from the University of Arkansas Medical School. He spent 14 years in general practice, then 20 years with the Federal Aviation Administration as a Regional Flight Surgeon. Retiring from the FAA Dr. Sexton went to work as Area Medical Director for American Airlines. He then retired again to do part time work in Occupational Health Clinic. Sexton have dual certification in Aerospace and Occupational Medicine.

His presentation will cover how to read medical literature and how to understand and effectively use information found in internet URLs. Key items are:

• Understanding of how medical tests are conducted.
•  Determining how these facts may apply to your specific needs.
• The use of an Internet connection and a browser for Web search
• How a medical dictionary to help you understand some of the terminology needed.

Be prepared for a delightful evening and the presentation of many interesting facts that will help you understand your medical searches over the Internet.
